How to soft reset or reboot  Opengear console servers can be soft rebooted so they retain all custom settings, or hard reset to the factory default settings. With a soft reset all the console server settings (such as the assigned network IP address, user permissions, serial port settings etc) are preserved . However the soft reset will disconnect all users and end any SSH sessions that had been established.
