The entry level CMx8604 product, which is comprised of the CMx86 console server software and a four port multiport card is affordably priced at $149 MSRP. The CMx86 software supports unlimited users and a range of third party multiport cards. Opengear supplies a line of multiport cards enabling users to add more ports to their console server for under $25 per port MSRP.

Opengear’s CMx86 software is built on the “okvm” open source project http://www.okvm.sourceforge.net, offering customers a dedicated solution complete with all source code for deployment.
