SANDY, UT – January 31, 2008 – Opengear, a leading provider of next-generation out-of-band management solutions, has announced the appointment of Leanne Ramsay as Vice President of Sales Asia Pacific based in Sydney.
Ramsay joins Opengear with more than 26 years’ experience in the IT industry, initially commencing her career as an electronics engineer prior to moving into pre- and post-sales engineering and subsequently into marketing and sales management. For most of the last 20 years, she has led product and services sales teams in the areas of data and voice integration, communications and secure infrastructure management.

At Opengear, Ramsay will be responsible for driving sustainable market growth in Opengear’s range of infrastructure management solutions through the delivery of market-leading product and the engagement and support of a sales and support team to help facilitate growth.

During her four years with the organisation she developed and then managed the regional go to market strategy for the Cyclades range of remote infrastructure management solutions and was responsible for the company’s entire local sales, marketing, finance and technical support team. |
In addition, she successfully managed integration of the Cyclades business into Avocent upon its acquisition in 2006 and went on to engineer growth for the business in Australia and New Zealand.
Prior, Ramsay was New South Wales Branch Manager for Allied Technologies Group and also Regional Manager ANZ for Clarent Corporation. In addition, Ramsay has also business development and account management positions with companies including Eclipse Communications, Fujitsu Australia, Scitec Communications, LAN Systems and CASE Communications.
