Serial port file transfer using X/Y/Zmodem Larger console server models (i.e. all models other than CM/SD4001/2/8) with firmware 3.4.1 or later support lrzsz. The program implements the x/y and zmodem protocols, and is used to send and receive files over the serial ports of the console server. It has been tested against HyperTerminal (Windows XP), minicom (Fedora Core 5), and Zterm(Mac). To receive a file using zmodem from port 6: cd /tmp lrz -Z /dev/port06 Note that zmodem receive does not need to have the received file specified. Here is the example output for sending a file using xmodem: Sender: # lsz -X config.xml > /dev/port05 < /dev/port05 Sending config.xml, 18 blocks: Give your local XMODEM receive command now. Bytes Sent: 2432 BPS:166 Transfer complete Receiver: # lrz -X config.xml /dev/port06 lrz: ready to receive config.xml Bytes received: 2432 BPS:134 Transfer complete |
